Antique Silver-mounted Horn Mug.

Description

Victorian silver-mounted horn mug; of circular tapered form, silver rims to the top and bottom, and a cartouche to the centre front. This is a really unusual piece in that these items are generally beakers and do not have a handle, this one does; it has a fine leaf-capped c-scroll handle, making it a mug. This is a well hallmarked piece by noted makers of the period.
