Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The drawers all have small brass knobs, brass thread escutcheons and brass locks (comes with a key). To the top is leather cloth writing surface which show signs of age and wear. The piece is in well figured mahogany with good original patina and is profusely inlaid with satinwood banding to the fronts, sides and top.

Condition Report:
Solid and sturdy with general wear and marks commensurate with age. Wear and scuffs to the inside and outside edges. Lots of wear and tear to the leather top, usable but would benefit a new leather. Some of the spandrels missing to the back and sides. Beautiful figuring and warm patina to the mahogany.
