Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The turned legs are supported by an H-cross stretcher. The elm seat has a beautiful swirly wild grain to it. The to back of the seat is a makers name and to the underside it reads “Supper Room Serving Bar”. Dating from circa 1900.

Goodearl & Sons were Furniture makers, of High Wycombe and Princes Risborough. In 1870 by William Goodearl (b.1811) set up in Dovehouse Mead and was later joined by his four sons, to form Goodearl and Sons.

Condition Report:
Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Good patina to the seat and arms, with some old varnish to the legs. Old marks and stains to the seat commensurate with age. Some old mends to underside of top rail.
