Victorian Button Back Drawing Room Armchair

Description

A Victorian button back armchair of good proportions, upholstered in chartreuse velvet, upon ring turned supports with castors.

This is an extremely comfortable drawing room chair of large proportions, the seat is well sprung with no bumps and the cotton velvet is a wonderful deep chartreuse colour. It does have a few marks in places, the castors are replacements, probably dating from the 1950's, making the chair easier to move around as it is extremely solid and heavy. I can have these replaced if preferred.

Provenance : From Beverston Castle, Gloucestershire.
