Solid Silver Basket 1903

Description

A Solid Silver Basket.

The silver basket with a swing handle, the handle decorated with pierced and chased flowers. The handle tapering to reeds, and thence ball hinges. The basket with a scalloped rim, decorated with pierced and scrolled leaf decoration, above the canted sides decorated with open scrolled leaves and flowers. The sides with cartouches, and the ends with reserves filled with spreading flowers. The whole standing on four ball feet.

Hallmarked for James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield 1903.
