Description

Two Early 19th Century Steel Cork Screws.

One with a balloon shaped handle, facetted to the top, and tapering toward the ratchet hinge, holding the screw within the handle when closed. The other with a ringed and shaped tapering body, within which the cork screw is housed. The screw removing from the body, with the body then sliding within the ring top of the screw to form the handle.

Date c 1800.
