The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, seven jewels, warranted English, which is working nicely. The movement is not signed but presumably a Coventry maker.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company. There is some surface scratching to the back of the watch, just from years of use, and a 1cm line shaped “ding”also to the back.

The watch glass is in good condition.
The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, R Richardson, Middlesbrough. The dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
