Slim Edwardian Arts and Crafts Mahogany Bureau

1900 - 1920
Description

A charming slim antique Edwardian Arts and crafts mahogany bureau with pewter and mother of pearl inlay. With inlaid fall front above two panelled door cupboard and standing on half-moon bracket feet. The fall front drops down on brass arms to reveal pigeon holes and a leather writing surface, the cupboard doors open to reveal a single removable shelf and a sloped book trough. In a wonderfully figured mahogany with arts and crafts Glasgow school style inlay, it’s a slim size, ideal for a hall or study. Dating from circa 1905.

Good colour and original warm patina. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Wear and marks to the top. Some small sections of inlay missing.
