A fine Japanese Meiji period bronze brush pot of cylindrical form onlaid in mixed metal with insects amongst foliage in silver, gold, shakudo and copper, including a butterfly in flight and a cricket. This splendid brush pot has a gilt rim and base, and is in excellent condition standing 4 inches tall.
