A large Japanese Meiji period Satsuma earthenware vase of globular form, beautifully decorated around the body with a continuous band of flowering Chrysanthemum with intricate border lappets at the top and bottom including different mons and abordered rim and foot. This eye catching vase is signed ‘Dai Nihon Taizan sei’ with the impressed Taiza mark next to it and is in excellent condition standing 12 inches tall.
