A splendid Japanese Meiji period bamboo brush pot finely carved around the body with a hawk perched on a branch with carved clouds at the top and foliage at the bottom, with a three footed base it has an iron mount inlaid with silver & gold motifs. This impressive pot is in excellent overall condition and is signed in a seal on the reverse, standing 15 inches tall.
