A charming pair of Japanese Meiji period satsuma vases of slender form beautifully hand painted & gilded with a continuous scene around the body depicting Geisha and children in an outdoor setting with a distant backdrop of trees and buildings, finished with decorative border work at the rim and base. Both vases are signed to the base and in excellent overall condition standing 6 inches tall.
