Gents 9ct Gold Smiths Wrist Watch, 1964

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 9ct gold Smiths wrist watch, made in the Welsh factory in Ystradgynlais.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1964 with a maker’s mark for Smiths Clocks & Watches. The case is in good condition with just the odd minor mark.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is in its original finish and it is in good condition with original hands, centre seconds with red pointer end and a date display.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
