Description

A 19th Century Travelling Barometer.

The 19th century gilt brass holosteric barometer with a silvered dial, marked for barometric pressure and weather indication. The dial also mounted with a thermometer following the curve of the dial. The mechanism revealed within the open centre of the dial, and the glass fitted with an adjustable cursor hand. The whole within the original velvet lined Morocco leather case complete with hanging loop.

Date c 1870.
