A Figured Mahogany Victorian Period Antique Writing Desk.

Description

A figured mahogany Victorian Period antique writing desk. Having a rectangular top with a tan inset leather writing surface with blind and gilt tooled detail, cross banded in mahogany and with a moulded edge. With an arrangement of three drawers and two panelled cupboards enclosing shelves. The desk is veneered in beautifully figured mahogany which is also repeated on the panelled sides, both inside and outside. Supported on a mahogany veneered plinth. English circa 1880

Dimensions: 48" wide x 24" deep x 29" high (knee hole 23" high x 20" wide)

Condition: This desk is in superb condition, it is not finished at the back so could not be used free standing. It does not split into sections
