1942 Longines Military Pilots Wristwatch

Description

A 1942 Longines Military pilots wristwatch. A base metal central case, with a stainless steel case back lacking official markings. Case back inner marked '73 Longines 1' and '22081 72'. A white dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands. A high quality 16 jewel manual wind Longines 12.68N mechanism. Unfortunately some military watches of this period had their markings removed, so as to avoid persecution. The case, mechanism and design all point towards this watch being a military piece with markings removed.

Case width 32 mm.
