Silver & Cloisonné Enamel Cut Glass Scent Bottle by D. Andersen, Norway, Circa 1900

Description

This enchanting silver & cloisonné enamel scent bottle was made in Oslo by the highly regarded David Andersen of Norway, who founded the business in 1882. The hinged lid with intricate turquoise and white enamel decorations. The work is reminiscent of Russian cloisonné enamel silver of the period and the Norwegian version takes inspiration from a Viking style called "Dragestil".

Mounted on sliced-cut clear glass cylindrical body.

Description
