Antique Victorian Solid Silver Salver / Tray / Waiter

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

A fine example of a Victorian solid sterling silver salver.

Crisp hallmarks on the base date this to Sheffield 1899, with the maker''s mark for Mappin & Webb. The salver is wonderfully plain, with no inscriptions past or present. It has a shaped ogee boarder and it is raised on three claw and ball feet. As one would expect, there are surface scratches, but they are light.
