A very fine and top quality ten drawer collectors cabinet by messrs watkins & doncaster of the strand, london. Circa 1890.

This is truly a 'de-luxe' model and built to the most exacting standards of cabinet making. Solid mahogany throughout and with very finely figured honduras mahogany displayed on the arched top doors. The w&d cartouche is original and gives the strand address for this famous and world renowned company.

The cabinet was designed to house a colection of british butterflies but will lend itself to a multitude of collecting pursuits. All the drawers have closely fitting glazed frame tops and run smoothly and efficiently on hidden bearer runners.

This is a special and rare cabinet and any owner will be pleased with it's aesthetic and practical quality.
