Interesting early C20th French tooled leather-bound book-table with inset silk-work top.
Gilt-tooled brown leatherbound wooden table of shaped ''crescent '' form fitted with damask silk-lined central cupboard and drawer with open compartments either side probably for books . The top inset with a glass panel covering a finely-worked silk embroidered picture depicting a central basket of flowers..
The whole raised on a shaped ''os-de-mouton'' style legged base. The door and cupboard fitted with brass handles . Elaborately tooled and gilded work to all the leather surfaces.
Minor wear to leather and some minor historic wood worm holes (treated).
