Victorian Cast Iron Woodcutter Doorstop

Description

A heavy and finely detailed Victorian doorstop or door porter, of a woodcutter and his dog in very good condition.

It is 39.5cm in height and 25cm at the widest point and it weighs 5.6kgs. His hat is shaped as a handle with an indent at the back for easy lifting.

The doorstop was painted many years ago, the soft brown colour shows the details of the woodcutter's clothes, axe and hat up perfectly.
