This is a truly remarkable clock. The case is constructed of the very best figured mahogany as can be seen in the pictures. Very good colour with fluted , canted edges to the trunk and with small brass inlays to the hood. The extremely substantial dial has been delicately engraved by hand and features a separate seconds and chapter ring applied to the base dial which is not immediately obvious unless viewed in our showrooms. The long trunk door has what is known as a ''bridge top'' reserved for the finest London longcase clocks. The figured base is also paneled with a double plinth. The decorative ball and eagle finials can be removed if they do not suit your interior, they simply lift out. The 8 day movement is driven by two brass cased weights and a brass faced pendulum bob. The clock has no markings what so ever which is highly unusual as the clock is such good quality throughout.
