Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
It has a key locking glazed front door with a swept arch pediment and all original finials.
The 8 day, Grande Sonnerie movement has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff and carries our usual 12mths parts and labour guarantee. It strikes the quarters on one gong followed by the previous hour on another until striking the quarters and the hours at 12 O'clock. For this reason these clocks are often referred to as "blind man's clocks" as it is possible to know the time each quarter without actually seeing the clock.
The white enamel dial is in perfect condition as are the brass weights and pendulum. It has black Roman numerals and very fine cut hands. Dimensions shown include all finials.
