Magnificent Large Antique Elkington Silver Plated Sugar Basket - Dated 1867

Description

A wonderfully decorative Victorian silver plated sugar basket from the famous English silversmith, Elkington & Co.

Beautifully pierced or reticulated, this decorative piece retains it's original Bristol blue hand blown glass liner, the ground pontil mark can be seen on the underside once it is removed.

There is a full Elkington mark on the side with the date letter E which is for the year 1867.

A good size measuring 5 1/5" across the top and standing 5 1/4" tall excluding handle. Superb condition.
