Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian mahogany table cabinet is a compact, portable storage piece constructed during the nineteenth century. Designed to rest atop sideboards, desks, or tables, these pieces were used to secure personal items, stationery, or jewellery.

Victorian cabinetry frequently utilised solid mahogany or mahogany veneers over pine frameworks. Construction featured hand-cut dovetail joints, mortise and tenon joinery, carved wooden door panels, and cast brass hinges or escutcheons.

Authentic pieces display signs of period craftsmanship, such as irregular hand-sawn wood marks on interior panels, hand-cut joinery, and natural oxidation on raw wood surfaces. Hardware like original steel locks, brass hinges, and age-appropriate wear around keyholes also indicate authenticity.

Small table cabinets function well on contemporary sideboards, hallway consoles, or home office desks. They provide textured interest when paired with minimalist ceramics or modern art while offering functional storage for small items.

Dust regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Apply a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year to preserve the timber finish, avoiding silicone-based sprays, direct sunlight, and placement near heat sources to prevent cracking.
