This Late Victorian set of 6 mahogany dining chairs would have been made circa 1880.
These chairs with turned front legs and serpentine front seats, would have graced the home of one of the upwardly mobile middle-class families that were furnishing their homes to show their success and new standing in society.

The chairs are made in a good hard mahogany.
The centre rail with a carved shell motif and similar half versions at each side.
