Description

Stylish Art Deco sculpture of two big cats c.1930. A snarling muscular panther and a more placid looking young lioness beautifully modelled in spelter with a bronze finish. Presented on the original two tier black and white marble plinth. Signed Cartier (Thomas Francois Cartier 1879-1943) to the front left hand corner of the plinth. Damage to the shoulder of panther, otherwise very good condition.
