Description

A fine Staffordshire porcellaneous cottage pastille burner and stand, c. 1830. The cottage, unusually enamelled black, and having gilt window ledges; the roof encrusted with flowers and leaves. Standing upon a shaped base, with more flowers, and an arch over the path, leading to the cottage. Having a raised area to take a pastille. Both items pierced to circulate the aroma.

Height - 13 cm, 5 1/8”.

Width - 15.5 cm, 6 1/8”.

Condition - Typical, minor chips to flowers. Firing crack to the base. Otherwise perfect condition. No restoration.
