Antique Elm Spindle Back Windsor Chair

Description

This antique spindle back Windsor armchair is quite old & I’m not sure if it’s 19th or 18th century. I rarely handle antique country furniture, so find it hard to date exactly. This chair is in good original condition with natural wear to the surface polish. There are very slight openings along the front of the arms where there is a join in the wood, but this chair is still structurally sound & full of character. The stability is helped by the fact that it has cross stretchers between the legs.

Depth – 22 inches, 56 cm

Height – 34 inches, 86 cm

Arm height – 28 inches, 70 cm

Seat height – 17 inches, 43 cm
