Small Antique Walnut Chest Drawers

19th century
Description

A magnificent and good quality small antique walnut chest of drawers dating from circa 1880. The moulded top above two panelled frieze drawers within geometric cabochons over two conforming long drawers flanked by scale-carved scrolling pilasters on turned and blocked feet. A really unusual piece, in a baroque revival style, continental in origin, probably from the northern Italian/South German region of Europe. It is a really well made piece with very heavy solid oak drawers, with locks and working key.
