Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
They stand on turned and fluted legs. Newly reupholstered, solid and sturdy and in good original condition. Would make a wonderful desk chair or bedroom chair.
With an interested original paper label underneath one of the chairs which reads “John Manuel & Son Manufacturers Devonshire Cabinet Works Upholstery, Carpet, Brass and Iron bedstead Warehouse, Sheffield.”

Good original condition. Beautiful warm colour and patina. Solid frames. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly reupholstered (horsehair). A few small marks to the fabric in places.
