Description

A large and unusual brown leather and camphor wood Regency campaign trunk/chest. The top bearing a brass cartouche engraved "Thomas Waddell". The leather set within the protective iron straps and corners with decorative brass studded detail. The trunk benefits from the original working lock plate with key. The camphor wood interior is blue paper lined with removable tray above 2 small side drawers. The leather, metal straps and brass studs all in very good condition and the ends have iron carrying handles. This very unusual trunk would make an ideal coffee table.
