Description

Lovely example of an early 20th Century wooden filing cabinet made of four stacking drawers, each with a brass handle and brass label holder. There is a round plaque on the front of the cabinet "SU-TALL" from the time it would have been part of a large bank of filing cabinets arranged alphabetically according to the records they held. The drawers are a traditional design with movable file divider to hold the files up which can be pushed to the back of the drawers to enable the whole length to be used. The four sections can be fastened together at the back by small metal brackets.

It is in good usable condition. The drawers slide open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy. The wood has a wonderful rich patina and although it is not without some small marks and knocks and signs of age and use it is not detrimental and it displays beautifully.
