Antique Farmhouse Stick Back Chair

1900 - 1920
Description

Beautiful example of a Windsor stick-back country chair. It dates from the early 1900s. The frame is made of beech with a solid elm seat and stick back supports. The turned legs are united by an H-stretcher. It has a beautiful finish with a rich colour and patina and many layers of old varnish and paint on the legs.

The chair stands approximately 42" (107cm) high, the seat is 18" (46cm) deep and arm to arm the chair is 22" (56cm) wide.

It is in good condition and is strong and sturdy with no signs of worm or any major damages. There are signs of age and use and some marks and light scratches on the seat but nothing detrimental. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
