The polished arms & legs are satin birch & these chairs have hand coiled springs in the seats. I was getting many similar pairs of these armchairs from Sweden in the past, but they are now becoming increasingly hard to find. They are always very popular, because they are quite small in size, but still have generous sized seats. Also, they fit in both modern & traditional room settings.
