A fine Japanese Meiji period bronze okimono of a roaring male Lion, well drawn with a muscular body the lion has an impressive, full mane and tufts of hair on the back of the front legs. Beautifully detailed and finished with glass eyes this bronze has a rich patina and is signed Seiya in free-hand on the underside, it is in excellent condition and measures 20 inches in length.
