~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A lovely original antique French gilt bronze clock, beautifully modelled in the Baroque style. Decorated with scrolling acanthus, a goddess mask and a large, elaborate urn.

The dial porcelain enamel on copper and is complete with original finely cut steel hands. The retailers signature is also on the dial and is partially rubbed.
The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video clip of the clock running, please ask.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. There are a couple of very minor original casting faults evident. The dial is also in excellent condition with no significant damage.

Japy Freres mark on the movement backplate along with the retailer's.
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
