Antique Victorian Mahogany Library Bookcase and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top above a deep frieze and two arched glazed doors with moulded edge and carved floral cartouche to the centre and with working key. To each side of the doors is a turned architectural column. Internally there are two fixed shelves. The base has a squared edge to the top above a long single frieze drawer which is mahogany linedand over two arched panelled doors with carved floral cartouche to the centre and with working key. Internally there is a single shelf and to each side there is a turned architectural column. The whole standing on a deep plinth base. The top separates for ease of transporting and the bookcase if of extremely good quality.

MEASURES: 80” HIGH X HEIGHT TO TOP OF BASE 36.5” X 18.5” DEEP X 45” WIDE AND INTERNAL DEPTH TO TOP 10.5”

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
