A mahogany case with a convex and concave moulded wooden bezel surround. A double fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell. A lovely old Victorian repairers label on the side door from London. This clock dates to circa 1775. Silvered dial wall clocks were the first examples made and this is a fine example.

Edward Tulet of Fenchurch Street, London was a master of the Clockmakers Company in 1786. He is recorded in Brittens' 'Old Clocks and Watches & Their Makers' book as working from 1760-1794.
