A wonderful metamorphic library chair dating to the Victorian period, circa 1890. Constructed in mahogany and with the original carpet. It is a well-made and unrestored antique with the marks of age and character from 130 years of use. It retains a rich mahogany colour and patina. We have photographed this without the brass hooks which keep it secure, however since the picture was taken we have attached some brass hooks to it. As the pictures show this lovely antique transforms from a chair to library steps when required.
