Each chair has a stuffed and upholstered seat. The upholstery is good quality and the seats are strong and comfortable and perfectly useable. However there are some small water marks and minor stains and the braid on one chair has been changed so they would benefit from re-upholstery. We can offer in-house upholstery for you at a cost of £40 per chair plus fabric. Please contact us to discuss this option if you want to have them covered.
The chairs have been well used over a period of almost 200 years and have developed a lovely rich patina. There are some old repairs and signs of age and use and some general knocks and scuffs around the legs but nothing detrimental. The chairs have all been cleaned and polished and they are a good sturdy set of chairs.
