Description

A delightful silver mounted crocodile skin purse dating from the late Victorian period. This lovely piece is decorated with hallmarked silver mounts and a button clasp. The purse opens to reveal a tan leather and moire silk interior, with various compartments including space for calling cards, notes and coins. In all, there are five compartments making for a very usable Victorian purse. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good, with no breaks, tears or losses. There is some old repair stitching to the reverse side of the crocodile skin (pictured) and is commensurate with age and use.
