An Edwardian Silver Mounted Match Striker

Description

A fine silver mounted match striker, assayed in Birmingham and by John Grinsell and Sons. This handsome example has a globe shaped, ribbed glass body for striking and an unusual all silver reservoir to hold the matches. A good collector's item. Dimensions below.

Hallmarks :- Readable, softening to all marks bar the makers. Readable with a good eye glass.

Date :- Birmingham 1901.
