Description

Good sized example of the classic late 19th.c. military officer’s campaign chest c.1880. In solid camphorwood, a fragrant and pest resistant timber which helped protect contents during passage, further strengthened with brass corners and bindings. Retaining the original brass work, flush-fitting handle to the lid, locks and heavy duty carry handles to each side. Good colour and condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
