Antique Burr Walnut Leather Top Pedestal Desk

1920 - 1940
Description

This antique burr walnut leather top desk has nice small proportions, while still retaining a generous kneehole space. It has a serpentine shaped front, a polished back & sits on bracket feet. All the drawers are graduated in depth & have very detailed, well shaped original brass handles. It has beautifully patterned & very tight burr walnut veneers all over the front, back & sides. The tooled leather writing surface is also original. This desk is in excellent original condition & I would date it to around the 1930’s period.

Height – 30 inches, 75 cm

Knee height – 24 inches, 61 cm

Knee width – 19 inches, 49 cm
