Malcolm Eglin Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.

It has an old brass plate to the front of the trunk with the name "Miss Gordon" engraved on it.
This could be used as an interior design piece as well as being a very useful item.

The firm was the successor to the celebrated silversmith Paul Storr who had left Rundell, Bridge & Rundell to set up his own workshop on Harrison Street near Clerkenwell in 1819.
Dimensions approx. 64 cms wide 43 cms deep and 49 cms tall.
