Description

Excellent 17th Century Oak Two Part Chest of Drawers, Circa 1680-90. This chest was originally made in two parts, the top two drawer section lifts off the bottom two drawer section & when together is held in place by locating pegs. Original oak panelled sides & back, original oak drawer linings & drawer bottoms. Top boards have been historically repaired. (See photo of top). Replacement brass drop handles & back plates (Circa 1920's) in 17th Century style. Geometric mouldings to front. Four large drawers, the second deepest. A super early example in excellent condition with the added benefit of being in two parts.

Width 44 1/8" (112cm) at top.

Width 43 1/2"(110.5cm) at base

Height 42 1/4" (107.4cm)

Depth 22" (55.8cm) at top.

Depth 21 1/2" (54.6cm) at base.
