Art Deco Period Silver Jewellery Box.

Description

1930's silver, wood-lined jewellery box; of plain rectangular form this sizeable, hinged lid box displays a panel to the centre of the lid showing a typical elephant motif of the region. One or two slight dings to the lid, these cannot be removed without removing the lacquered wood lining first and possibly damaging it. They are not unsightly and add to the period character. The elephant motif is a high quality piece of workmanship. Stylish, fashionable and interesting piece.
