In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The doors opens up to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. There is a perpetual calendar in the top and it comes with one original glass inkwell.
There is a large sliding drawer at the bottom of the cabinet.
It is in good original condition and although it has been used it has obviously been very well looked after over the years. There are a few small knocks, chips and marks around the outside and general signs of age and light use but nothing detrimental. The doors have shrunk slightly over time and we do not have a key but overall it displays beautifully.
