Sevres Porcelain Ecuelle, Cover and Stand. Dated 1842.

Description

An exceptionally fine Sevres porcelain ecuelle, cover and stand, dated 1842. All three pieces, finely painted with continuous bands of flowers, within elaborately gilded decorative motifs, on a cobalt blue ground. The cover having a stylised gilt moulded fleur de lys finial.

Printed, painted and incised marks to the bases.

Height of ecuelle- 14 cm, 5 1/2”.

Diameter - 19 cm, 7 1/2”.

Diameter of stand - 16.5 cm, 6 1/2”.

Condition - Excellent, original condition. No damage. No restoration.
